thoughts on new trinkets/wardstone?
|
idk if it's just me, but it feels like the new sweeper seems to cater more towards junglers and people that need specific areas of the map swept for no vision. the decreased duration also makes it harder for enchanters or people with low attack speed to clear wards. do you think it might just be better to go farsight on enchanter supports instead of sweeper (the farsight buffs seem good as well)? also what do you guys think about wardstone?
What's the gold value of wardstone, specifically how much ap/ability has the 20% increase typically gives? I have noticed since the support items are cheaper it's easy to run out of item slots, especially if you go boots/dark seal, so if pink wards were not against your religion it would make a lot of sense to get wardstone as your last item so that you have a way to spend gold. Trinkets no idea honestly it's hard to tell just from reading the numbers if 2 charges is worth 40s longer cd |

itemization, theory crafting, rune choices is meaningless in climbing. if you reached masters+ you should know climbing only comes down to 2 things, mental and macro, a 3rd bonus is coinflip luck but if that was such a huge factor then why do challengers always place challenger each season. how can someone like tyler1 get chall on any champ or rune or item or any role... how can tarz get to gm by playing shit like soraka and yumi jg? macro and mental im telling you. |

Yeah. I realize it a lot when I've been playing Soraka in my games. I feel like I'm forced to waste gold on control wards just so I can have a heads up if a jungler tries to cheese botlane or if my lane is perma pushed. Personally, I really don't like the trinket changes, makes laning phase 10x harder to play, especially if enemy team is playing something like Kha or Rengar. |

personally, i disagree with saying that itemization, theory crafting, and rune choices are meaningless. i do agree that macro, micro, teamfighting, and mental make up the bulk of climbing, but i'd like to think that itemization and theorycrafting can be the deciding factor in a small percentage of games. however little the percentage may be, i still feel like it holds value and is interesting for me to discuss and talk about. |

that seems about right @tiewhy, playing well matters way more than builds, but how you play is more of a feeling/experience that's harder to describe and discuss, whereas items/runes are a choice you can easily talk about, so even though they're less important they end up being more disucssed |
