 Doran's Ring first back on Sona?

Hi!

I am interested in what this one player does (https://www.op.gg/summoners/euw/vka?hl=en_US). They ends up going boots > tear > dorans > mythic. It honestly looks weird to build but wanted to know more thoughts on this build path. Going to try it out because why not (playing in Emerald anyway haha)?

The stats are 150% gold value so it's good early but by 2300g shurelya's is better than kindlegem/bandleglass mirror/doran's ring. So idk, maybe it's good to win lane since the game is snowbally, even though it's less snowbally after 13.20.

That player goes tear on top of dorans which sounds kinda delayed on shurelya's, idk dorans gives a bit of mana regen plus 5 mana when you q someone, so I'd probably go it with presence of mind and skip tear, trying to go 2 or 3 points in q and win lane.

My guess would be the difference in lane doesn't matter enough, especially for emerald, but idk maybe it is good, it's definitely not that bad.

True, I think I need to go PoM / Tenacity (since I go health + building dorans so cutdown may be worse?) instead of inspiration tree. Inspiration is nice for free boots and cosmic but inventory gets filled VERY FAST.
