 what’s the difference between a challenger sona vs a master/gm sona?

i’ve peaked grandmaster twice this season playing pretty much just sona and maokai but have been struggling to maintain/climb higher. i’ve been watching thetankman vods but was still just wondering if anyone who’s challenger has any tips to climb higher than gm? i’m also wondering what the main difference is for a sona main who is master/gm versus one who is challenger or if they’re just worse at everything in general.
