You can sort the homepage post list by Hot, Top, or New - very similar to reddit. Actually New and Top are naive time and upvotes minus downvotes respectively, and Hot is copied from reddit's formula. I don't say algorithm here because I got it from a comment Jedberg made saying reddit does not have an algorithm, just a publicly viewable sort and as such isn't a trade secret or some sort of nefarious user tracking and content tailoring. (note that this was 2016 reddit but this is a digression)

What the Hot sort does on reddit is make a post, each 12.5 hours, decay to the popularity of a post with 10 times fewer upvotes. Since there aren't quite as many posts on LegendsOfLeague as on reddit (yet!) I set it to 7 days instead of 12.5 hours. By default https://www.legendsofleague.gg sorts by Hot.
