Is roaming broken or?

On the lvl 1 invade, I think his strategy is start boots and sprint at you lvl 1 with predator/ghost to fling you into his team. But when we said ok he's invading lvl 1 let's all sit in bot tri he started q and did a lot of dmg instead (weirdly I remember a bike ride a long time ago, like before maining support, where I was like huh singed aoe scales with movespeed). Also I started annie W but only hit one person so we kinda lost the fight. Idk if it'd be possible to stun more though since they didn't all facecheck.

Anyways some players spam absolutely degenerate roams - technically defined as giving up the wave(s) lost at their tower (a roam that gives up a wave is degenerate; a roam that gives up multiple waves is absolutely degenerate) - and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't but they haven't dropped to bronze so it can't be that bad. I'm not thinking of just this guy here although singed is a weird roaming champ, but for instance other champs like rengar top running bot lvl 6 as well, and midlaners constantly roaming bot. Like whenever pobelter goes on a losing streak he just says fk it time to roam bot! It's easy to blame "oh soloq players only fight no look at map", but idk if you could just look at map and play safe and win that easily surely people would do it and climb?

I do probably need to watch a game where my mid was ariendal tristana vs onat sylas. I'm not sure exactly how much they give up mid, but it feels like botlane we just have to fight so whoever roams wins. Maybe we could play safe bot? Not sure what exactly that entails though like never eat any trades, never get the wave in a bad spot (on their side where we can't step up to it, or on our side where we get crashed/dove...), never contest the tower when they come to dive...idk I'd rather lose with a bang than a whimper. But I do feel like I should look at these games where people just show up bot to see how much they lose mid and if we can not die to it.

But yeah predator singed man people do unique things (maybe not that the build is that unique but the playstyle definitely feels different to play vs). The one thing I will say is if he gets fed himself it's not a big deal because the singed champion will inevitably give up his shutdown, although ofc the roaming is more to get teammates ahead.
